Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn the Playstation 3 Slim console upside down to expose the underside of the system. Remove the eight rubber feet on the bottom of the system using an Exacto knife or other similar razor knife.
Remove the eight screws which were behind the rubber feet using a small Phillips-head screwdriver.
Take out the device's hard drive by turning the system right-side up, opening the hard drive bay cover on the front of the system, releasing the metal tab locking the drive in place and sliding the drive out of the bay.
Open the top cover of the system to expose the inside of the system.
Remove the two screws on either side of the power supply, located at the back of the system, and lift the power supply out of the console.
Disconnect the fan and Blu-Ray drive cables which are plugged into the system's circuit board. Remove the screw on the back of the Blue-Ray drive and it should slide out of the console.
Unscrew the two screws holding the system's fan in place and lift it out of the console. This should be the last piece on top of the metal cover inside the system. Remove the three screws holding the metal cover in place and remove it from the system.
Remove the circuit board from the metal cover by unscrewing the 11 screws holding it in place. Once this is removed the PS3 Slim will be completely taken apart.
