How to Use a Rapid Fire Mod in PS3

Shooting games require quick aim and the ability to rapidly fire "bullets" in order to take out the enemy. To enable rapid fire capabilities in a PlayStation 3 game, replace the ordinary game controller with one that has been adapted to shoot a continuous stream of bullets when the fire button is depressed. The "mod" made to the PS3 game controller will neither prevent it from being used in any game nor damage the PS3 while it is connected to it.

Instructions

  Press the touch-sensitive power switch on the PlayStation 3's front right edge ledge. Continue to press the switch until the console beeps and turns itself off; if the PS3 is already off, you can ignore this step.

  Remove all of the game controllers from the game ports on the front of the PS3. Plug the PS3 mod game controller into one of the game ports.

  Press the touch-sensitive switch. Continue to press the switch until an LED begins to blink near the switch.

  Place a PS3 shooter-type game disc, such as "Call of Duty: World at War," into the slot at the front of the PS3's ledge.

  Push the disc into the slot until the automatic loading mechanism takes over. Release the disc and wait for the disc to automatically load before continuing.

  Select an online match or new game from the game's main menu, using the direction pads on the controller. Press the "X" button to enter the game screen.

  Maneuver through the first-person point-of-view screen, using the direction pads, with the barrel of your single-shot weapon leading the way.

  Aim the barrel of your weapon at an enemy when he comes into view. Press the "X" button on the controller to fire a single round at the enemy.

  Take cover behind a rock, tree or other object that is on the screen. Press the activation button that turns on the rapid fire button that has been installed on the PS3 controller; if there is no activation button, ignore this step.

  Aim the barrel of your weapon at the enemy over or around the object you are hiding behind. Press the rapid fire button on the controller to let loose a continuous barrage of bullets. Reload once the gun clicks empty and return to firing.

  Press the activation button to turn off the rapid fire button once the enemy has been taken care of; if there is no activation button, ignore this step. Continue on the advance to find new enemies to fire upon.
