Cheats For MGS4

"Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots" (MGS4) is a stealth action video game released in 2008 exclusive to the PlayStation 3. It is also the final game in the "Metal Gear Solid" series, which debuted in 1998. This is the reason for the many nostalgic cheats in the game, such as unlocakble weapons and music from the previous titles in the series.

Nostalgic Weapons Cheats
- All cheat codes are entered in the Extras Menu. Just select the "Password" option and input a code of your choice. However, you must complete the game once before this option is available. Once all of this done, Input "pkhhnwhsjt" to get the Patriot, a specially designed assault pistol that belonged to The Boss from "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (MGS3.)" Enter "mekakorkkk" for the Mk. 23 handgun, which is the SOCOM from the original "Metal Gear" game. Mosin-Nagant is the rifle used against you in the MGS3 sniper fight; use the cheat "mnsoymsyhn" to unlock it. Enter "tshsniammr" to unlock the Thor .45-70 handgun, the main weapon used by your archenemy, Liquid Ocelot.
Ipod Song Codes
- The in-game iPod in your inventory is used to play songs during gameplay. You can unlock many new tracks for it, most of which are from previous "Metal Gear" titles. Just as with the previous section, go to the Extras Menu and then Password to enter iPod Song cheats. Input the cheat code "Abraham" for the Mobs Alive song. The cheat "george" unlocks the Gekkos track. Enter "mgo2play," "Thomas" and "Theodore" for the songs Subsistence Action, Desperate Chase and Midnight Shadow, respectively.
Free Drebin Points
- Drebin 893 is the name of a black market weapon dealer in MGS4. You will need Drebin Points (DP) to buy weapons from him. These are acquired as you play through the game, but there is a cheat if you want to boost your points quickly. When at Shadow Moses, enter the password "14893" into the machine instead of the code Otacon instructs you to use. Your DP will increase by 100,000.
Special Costume and Face Camouflage
- Altair is the main character from the 2007 video game "Assassin's Creed." To wear his white hooded outfit, enter the code "aottrykmyn" in the Password screen. During the intermission scene, ram the MK II into Roy Campbell to unlock the Roy Campbell face camouflage. Ram the machine into Hal Emmerich in the same scene to receive the Otacon face camouflage; Otacon is Hal Emmerich's codename.
