How to Beat Wave Ocean With Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog

In 2006, Sega published an updated version of "Sonic the Hedgehog" for the PS3 and Xbox 360 to commemorate the classic game's 15th anniversary. Unlike the original title, the new version enabled players to use not only Sonic but also Silver, an aging and slightly slower hedgehog with mental powers, and Shadow, a hedgehog wearing hover skates. The game features specific episodes for each character. Shadow's Wave Ocean level can be particularly challenging due to a secret switch hidden inside a cave.

Instructions

- 1
  Fly Shadow's aerial glider on a straight course through the various enemies. Blast anything that gets in your way. Soar through the cave and emerge on the other side to complete the level's first stage.

  Assume the role of Omega the robot and race through a variety of enemies to complete the level's second stage. Jump off the bumper springs to propel you up the cliff side to reach the final gate.

  Resume playing as Shadow to complete the third and final stage. Look for a cave entrance near the beach's coast line. Defeat the enemies guarding the area and smash through the boulders blocking the cave entrance.

  Attack the two monsters guarding the large glass box. Defeat the monsters to remove the box and reveal a hidden switch. Activate the switch.

  Exit on the opposite end of the cave. Sprint across the beach to find the armored buggy. Drive the buggy through the cave tunnel. Hit the speed ramps to launch the buggy into the giant loop.

  Leap from the buggy on the downward side of the loop. Continue sprinting into the speed ramps at the end of the loop and soar across the water to land in a stone tunnel that exits to more beach.

  Defeat the enemies guarding the second switch that also serves as a spring launcher. Jump off the switch and soar through the air to land on a dock with a hovercraft.
- 8
  Pilot the hovercraft out over the water. Avoid enemies and falling rocks until reaching the level's Goal Ring. Fly into the ring to complete the Wave Ocean mission.
