How to Install FBANextPS3 for 355

FBANext, which is an updated version of the Final Burn Alpha emulator, allows you to play a variety of arcade games on your PlayStation 3. If you have software version 3.55 on your PlayStation 3, you need to install the version of FBANext designed for that software version. Installation requires an external USB drive, since you have to transfer files from the computer to your Playstation 3.

Instructions

  Download the FBANext-PS3 emulator for software version 3.55 for the Sony PlayStation 3 from the Review Unit website. The file is labeled "FBANext_355.pkg."

  Plug a USB external storage device, such as a USB flash drive, into a USB port on your computer.

  Open "My Computer" and double-click the drive labeled "Removable Disk."

  Right-click "FBANext_355.pkg" and select "Copy" from the drop-down menu.

  Right-click the "Removable Disk" window and select "Paste."

  Click the "Safe to Remove Hardware" icon at the bottom right corner of the screen, select your USB drive from the list of devices connected to your computer, and remove the USB drive from your computer when prompted by the computer.

  Plug the USB drive into your PlayStation 3 and turn on the machine.

  Navigate to the "Game" category and press down until "Install Package Files" is selected.

  Press the "X" button and you'll see "FBANext_355.pkg" highlighted.

  Push "X" a second time to install the emulator.
