How to Make Movies on LBP2

Start up LittleBigPlanet 2. Go to "My Moon." From My Moon, select "Create." This will open a blank level for you to work with.

Press the "Square" button to open the Popit menu. Here is where you will find all the necessary tools to build your movie.

Select "Goodies Bag" in the Popit menu. From here, select the various pieces of scenery, decals and props for your movie. Rotate them using the directional stick and place them using the "X" key. It is helpful to think of this as the stage upon which your film will take place.

Open the Popit menu. Select the "Tool Bag." Select a Sackbot. Sackbots are your actors and must be carefully configured if you want them to act on cue. Press the "Square" button on a Sackbot to set their behavior. You can control them using sensors and logic tools, which can also be found in the Tool Bag.

Select "Tool Bag" again from the Popit menu. Select "Movie Camera." Place the camera in the level using the "X" key. Keep in mind that you can create more than one camera and you can automatically transition between them.

Press the "Square" key on a camera to change its settings. These settings include angle, zoom, transition time and type, and hold time. Hold time and transition time, listed in seconds, determine how long the movie will film from this camera. Carefully tweak the transition and hold times to make your movie come together properly.

Open the Popit menu. Select "Tool Bag." Select a background, background music, lighting and sound for your movie. These are necessary for creating an atmosphere and add to the professionalism of your film.

Open the Popit menu again. Select "Tool Bag." Scroll over to the "Gameplay Type" screen. Select "cutscene."

Play your level. Your movie will begin.
