How to Put a Patch RAR on PS3

If you have a jailbroken PlayStation 3 (PS3) console, you have the ability to install game mods and patches on your games. Game patches usually come in the form of compressed installation files, such as ZIP or RAR files. If the game patch you want to use is in the RAR format, you can install it to your game after you transfer it to your PS3 console. The best way to transfer files to your PS3 is with a USB flash drive.

Instructions

  Insert your flash drive into a free USB port on your computer and copy the patch RAR file to it. Click the ̶0;Safely Remove Hardware̶1; button in the system tray when the transfer is complete.

  Disconnect the flash drive when your computer prompts you to and then insert it into a USB port on your PS3 console. Turn on your PS3 console and a controller.

  Scroll through the main menu to the Game category and scroll down the drop-down list to the name of your flash drive. Select the patch RAR file and choose the Copy option to copy it to your PS3.

  Disconnect your flash drive when the transfer is complete and then select the newly copied RAR file. Select the Install option to install the game patch on your PS3.
