How to Jailbreak a PS3 With Your iPod Touch 8G

Since the release of the PlayStation 3, several exploits have been released that allow you to jailbreak it. While jailbreaking is not illegal, it can void your PS3's warranty and revoke your access to the PlayStation Network. An iPhone or iPod can be used in a similar manner to a USB device to jailbreak your PS3.

Things You'll Need

PSFreedom
Jailbroken iPod
OpeniBoot

Instructions

  Download and install OpeniBoot and PSFreedom onto your jailbroken iPod.

  Turn off the iPod and unplug the PS3.

  Connect your iPod to the PS3 with your iPod's USB cable and plug the PS3 into the power supply.

  Turn on the iPod and select the "Android" operating system from the OpeniBoot menu.

  Press the "Power" button on the PS3 followed quickly by the "Eject" button as soon as you see "init.rd" load on your iPod touch. The jailbreaking process will take a few minutes to complete.
