How to Make a Sackbot Counter in Little Big Planet

"Little Big Planet 2" (LBP 2) is the sequel to Media Molecule's award-winning platform game for the Sony PlayStation 3. The Sackbot gadget is a programmable, robotic character used to create unique puzzles. By implementing a tag sensor and a counter gadget, you can create a device that keeps track of the number of Sackbots that enter a certain location.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Square" button to open the Popit menu. Select the "Tools Bag" and press "R1" to access the Gadgets menu.

    • 2

Select the "Tag" gadget from the Sensors section of the Gadgets menu. Place the tag on the Sackbot's circuit board.

    • 3

Select the "Tag Sensor" from the Sensors section of the Gadgets menu. Place the tag sensor in your level where you want the Sackbot counter to appear.

    • 4

Press the "Square" button while highlight the tag sensor with the Popit cursor to open the Sensor Settings menu. Adjust the "Maximum Detection Range" radius to the desired size. This range determines how close a Sackbot has to be before the counter is activated. Set the "Number of Keys Required" to a value of "1."

    • 5

Select the "Counter" gadget from the Advanced Logic section of the Gadgets menu. Place the counter gadget near the tag sensor.

    • 6

Press the "Square" button while highlighting the counter gadget with the Popit cursor to open the Counter Settings menu. Adjust the "Target Count" value to match the number of Sackbots in your level. Set the "Current Count" to a value of "0."

    • 7

Use the Popit cursor to connect the tag sensor output to the counter increment input on the left side of the counter gadget. The counter gadget value will now be increased every time a Sackbot passes within the trigger radius of the tag sensor.
