How to Block PSN Use for PS3

Create a Sub-Account

  Select the ̶0;Users̶1; icon, select ̶0;Create New User̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Enter a username, select ̶0;OK̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Select the new user that you created, press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button, select ̶0;Yes̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button to login to the new user account.

  Select the ̶0;PlayStation Network̶1; icon, select ̶0;Sign Up for PlayStation Network̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Select ̶0;Create a New Account (New Users)̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button to start the registration process.

  Enter the user̵7;s date of birth in the ̶0;Date of Birth̶1; menu, select ̶0;Continue̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Enter the master account login and password, select ̶0;Continue̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Select ̶0;Continue̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button. An e-mail will be sent to your master account̵7;s registered e-mail address.

  Open the e-mail on your computer. Copy the verification code and click on the link in the body of the message.

  Paste the code into the ̶0;Enter code̶1; box. Click on the checkbox to give consent and click ̶0;Continue.̶1; The verification screen will appear. Click ̶0;Continue.̶1;

  Read the terms of agreement and privacy policy and click ̶0;Continue.̶1;

  Enter the sub-account e-mail address and password and click ̶0;Continue.̶1;

  Enter an online ID for the sub-account and click ̶0;Continue.̶1;

  Review the sub-account information and click ̶0;Continue.̶1; The sub-account has now been created.

Restrict the Sub-Account̵7;s PSN Access

  Log into the master account.

  Select the ̶0;PlayStation Network̶1; icon, select ̶0;Account Management̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Select ̶0;Sub Account Management̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Enter your account password, select ̶0;Continue̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Select the sub-account to restrict from the menu, select ̶0;Continue̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button.

  Select ̶0;Block̶1; from the ̶0;Chat̶1; menu to block messaging over PSN.

  Select ̶0;On̶1; in the ̶0;Content Restriction̶1; menu to block access to items in PSN store that are rated higher than the user̵7;s age.

  Select ̶0;Continue̶1; and press the ̶0;Cross̶1; button to update the sub-account̵7;s access restrictions.

  Select ̶0;Okay̶1; to return to the PS3 XMB screen.
