How to Boot a Prototype With MultiMan

Not to be confused with the "Prototype," PlayStation's popular sci-fi adventure game, a prototype game is an unreleased or unfinalized copy of a game. And if you're able to get your hands on one of these rare games, you'll want to ensure that your prototype game lasts as long as possible. If your PlayStation 3 console is jail-broken, or modified to remove manufacturer restrictions, you can use the MultiMan backup software to save your prototype game to your PS3's internal hard drive and boot it from the console's internal storage.

Instructions

    • 1

Power on your PS3. Navigate to the "Games" column on the PS3's home screen and select the "MultiMan" option.

    • 2

Insert your protoype disc into your PS3's Blu-ray drive. Press the "X" button on your controller to open MultiMan's game list. Locate your game in the list and press the square button to open the game's options.

    • 3

Press the "X" button to back up your prototype game to your PS3's internal hard drive. Reselect your game after it has finished copying to your hard drive.

Press the "X" button to mount the game and return to the PS3's home screen. Select the "Games" category, then select your prototype game to start it.
