How to Get Your Files After Jailbreaking Your PS3

If you have a jailbroken PlayStation 3 console, you have the ability to install almost any file to it. To get your files on the jailbroken PS3, you will need to use a USB flash drive. Computers and PS3 consoles both support the USB interface, so if you have a flash drive with at least 1GB of memory, this is the ideal way to move files around. Once the files are on the flash drive, installing them on your PS3 is a straightforward procedure.

  Insert your USB flash drive into your computer and transfer the files you want to load onto your jailbroken PS3 to the drive. As soon as the files are copied, click the ̶0;Safely Remove Hardware̶1; button in the system tray and disconnect the USB drive from the computer.

  Insert the flash drive into an open USB port on your jailbroken PS3 console and turn it on. Turn a controller on as well.

  Scroll through the menu bar to the ̶0;Game̶1; menu, where the contents of your flash drive will be displayed. Select each file to open the file menu and choose ̶0;Copy̶1; to get them onto the PS3 console. If any of the files are installer packages, select the ̶0;Install̶1; or ̶0;Run̶1; option from the file menu to install them.
