Instructions

    • 1

      Download and unzip PS3JB v0.08 for TI-84 Plus (ps3.dashhacks.com/system/files/ps3jb.0.08.0001.zip).

    • 2

Start up TI Connect and connect your TI-84 Plus via the USB cable.

    • 3

Open the folder created by unzipping the PS3JB file and drag "PS3JB.8xk" from that folder onto the TI Connect Device Manager.

    • 4

Disconnect the calculator once the transfer is complete and press the "Apps" button.

    • 5

Start the app on the calculator and set the payload to none.

    • 6

Set "Emulate Jig" to "Yes" on the app.

    • 7

Connect a USB flash drive to your PS3 and back up any saved data, as it will be erased by the downgrade. Make sure this isn't the blank FAT32 formatted drive, that drive will need to remain blank for a later step.

    • 8

Connect the calculator to your PS3 via USB cable. Make sure the cable is connected only to the USB port on the furthest right.

    • 9

Turn on the PS3 via the power button and immediately press the eject button.

    • 10

Turn the console off via the system menu once it has finished starting up.

    • 11

Disconnect the calculator from the PS3 and turn it back on. If you have done things correctly, it will start up with a large red box over the menu with the words "Factory/Service Mode." Then shut the system down once more via the system menu.

    • 12

Connect the blank FAT32 drive to your computer.

    • 13

      Download and decompress Downgrade_355.rar (sudburymods.com/PS3KEY%20FILES/dowgraderfiles/Downgrade_355.rar)

    • 14

Unzip "Lv2diag_355" and load the files "PS3UPDAT.PUP" and "LvDiag.self" onto the flash drive. Make sure that the "LvDiag.self" file you load is from the folder marked "File1," the other will be needed for later.

    • 15

Connect this flash drive to your PS3, again in the farthest port to the right.

    • 16

Turn on the PS3. It should display a black screen with the PS3 HDD light flashing. Leave it be for about three or four minutes. You will know the process is finished when the console powers off.

    • 17

Remove the flash drive and power up the PS3. It will still be in Factory/Service Mode but you will be able to check and confirm that the firmware has indeed downgraded by going to the "System Information" feature in the settings menu. Once you have confirmed, power down the PS3.

    • 18

Connect the flash drive to your computer and delete both files on it. Then copy the other "LvDiag.self" file from the File2 folder onto the flash drive and disconnect it from the computer.

    • 19

Connect the flash drive to the PS3 in the farthest right USB port and start up the PS3. After 10 seconds it will power off on its own.

    • 20

Remove the flash drive and start the PS3 back up. The system will be back to retail mode instead of Factory/Service Mode and you will be prompted to configure the system as though it were the first startup.
