How to Install Comgenie's File Manager

Jailbreak the PlayStation 3

  Insert a USB stick into the computer. Click "Start" and "Computer." Double-click the USB stick icon.

  Make a new folder named "PS3." Inside the PS3 folder, create a folder called "UPDATE."

  Download the jailbreak file from the GeoHot website. Extract the jailbreak file, PS3UPDAT.PUP, into the UPDATE folder.

  Remove the USB stick and insert it in the PlayStation 3. Power on the console.

  Scroll to "Settings." Select "System Update" and "Update via Storage Media." Wait for the PlayStation 3 to detect the file on the USB stick. Select "OK."

  Select "OK" again to accept the update conditions. Select "Install." When the update installs, the PlayStation 3 beeps four times and turns off. Restart the console to complete the jailbreaking process.

Install Comgenie's Awesome Filemanager

  Download Comgenie's Awesome Filemanager from the Comgenie website.

  Insert a USB stick into your computer. Extract the contents of the downloaded file, ComgenieAwesomeFilemanager355.pkg and EBOOT.BIN, into the USB stick.

  Remove the USB stick and connect it to the PlayStation 3. Turn the console on.

  Scroll to "Game." Select "Install Package Files" and "ComgenieAwesomeFilemanager355.pkg." Press "X" to install the file.

  Launch Comgenie's Awesome Filemanager from the Game tab. To copy a game to the hard drive, press "Select," "Circle" and "Start."
