How to Set Up a PS3 Network at College

The PlayStation 3 allows you to play your favorite games in a multi-player environment through the PlayStation Network. Your PS3 is pre-configured to work with a network connection, without the need to install additional hardware or applications. You will need your school's wireless network name and password to set up a PS3 network at your college.

      Power on your PS3 and your TV. Scroll to the "Settings" option in the home menu, press "X" and select "Network."

      Highlight "Internet Connection" and press "X." Scroll to the "Wireless" option in the prompt and press "X." Select "Scan" to search for your college's wireless network.

      Select the name of your school's wireless network in the list that appears and press "X." Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the password and press "X." Press "X" to save the connection settings and finish setting up your PS3 with your college's network.
