Instructions
Unplug the Ethernet cable currently plugged into the PC (the cable connecting the PC to the router). Use another Ethernet cable to connect the PC̵7;s Ethernet port to the Ethernet port on the PS3.
Open the Start menu on the PC. Select ̶0;Control Panel.̶1; Click ̶0;View network status and tasks̶1; in the ̶0;Network and Internet̶1; section. Click ̶0;Change adapter settings̶1; in the left pane.
Right-click ̶0;Local Area Connection̶1; in the right pane. Select ̶0;Properties̶1; from the shortcut menu. Click on ̶0;Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)̶1; to highlight it. Click the ̶0;Properties̶1; box.
Click the radio buttons next to ̶0;Use the following IP address̶1; and ̶0;Use the following DNS server. Fill out the fields as follows:
IP Address: ̶0;10.1.1.2̶1;
Navigate to ̶0;Settings,̶1; ̶0;Network Settings,̶1; then ̶0;Internet Connection Settings̶1; in the PS3̵7;s XMB menu.
Select ̶0;OK̶1; at the prompt. Following the remaining on-screen prompts select ̶0;Custom,̶0; ̶0;Wired Connection,̶0; ̶0;Auto-Detect̶1; then ̶0;Manual.̶1; Fill out the fields as follows:
IP Address: ̶0;10.1.1.2̶1;
Following the remaining on-screen prompts, select ̶0;Automatic,̶1; ̶0;Do Not Use,̶1; then ̶0;Enable.̶1; Press the "X" button on the PS3 controller to save the settings.
Launch the FTP server. Enter ̶0;10.1.1.2̶1; in the ̶0;Host̶1; or ̶0;IP̶1; box. Set the port to ̶0;21.̶1; Fill in your username and password credentials. Select "Connect."
Subnet Mask: ̶0;255.255.255.0̶1;
Default Gateway: ̶0;10.1.1.0̶1;
Preferred DNS Server: ̶0;10.1.1.0̶1;
Alternate DNS Server: ̶0;10.1.1.10̶1;
Subnet Mask: ̶0;255.255.255.0̶1;
Defualt Router: ̶0;10.1.1.0̶1;
Primary DNS: ̶0;10.1.1.0̶1;
Secondary DNS: ̶0;10.1.1.10̶1;
