How to Delete PS3 Game Languages

Many PlayStation 3 games have multiple language voice tracks and subtitles on the disc. If you are making a backup of your game and you only speak one language, the extra language files are merely taking up space. Depending on how much dialogue the game has, the language files can take up several gigabytes of space on your hard drive. If you don't need the extra languages, you can simply delete the files.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the "PS3_GAME" folder on your backup and select the "USRDIR" folder.

    • 2

Locate the language files. They are usually named after the language they contain and have a ̶0;.PSARC̶1; file extension.

    • 3

Select the option to remove the files.
