How to Let Your StorCenter Share Your Content on PS3

The iOmega StorCenter is a network-attached storage (NAS) device that can deliver media through a PlayStation 3 attached to the same network through Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Use the StorCenter to play videos, view pictures and listen to music on your television using your PS3. After you enable video sharing and move the files you want to share to the correct folders, the PS3 will automatically detect the files over the network. You can access the files through the PS3's main menu.

  Open the "EMC Lifeline Manager" application on a computer attached to the StorCenter.

  Click the "Settings" tab and click the "Media Services" option. Choose "Media Server" and check the box labeled "Enable Playback of Videos."

  Move the media files you want to share to the "Shares/public/Media" folder in the StorCenter or to the "Public Media" folder under a specific user's folder.

  Turn on your PlayStation 3 and open the main menu.

  Scroll to the "Video" icon to watch your videos. Scroll to the "Music" option to listen to music through the TV. Choose "Pictures" to view images on the screen.
