Rapid Fire

• The rapid fire modification is common for many console controllers. This modification registers one push on the trigger button as several subsequent triggers. Thus, you are firing more rapidly in your game. Rapid fire mods are best for shooter games. You can purchase controllers that already have this modification or kits that allow you to modify your own controller. Different rapid fire solutions allow you to customize just how rapidly you can fire.

Skins and Decals

• Skins and decals are temporary stick-on designs you can add to your PlayStation 3 controller. These modifications do not require you to take apart your controller or to be artistically inclined. You can purchase camouflaged, alien-themed and rainbow decals, among many other designs. Because they are temporary, you can remove a vinyl decal quite easily to replace it with another whenever you become sick of your current design.

Replacable Buttons

• You may choose to replace the buttons on your standard PS3 controller to add flair to your controller. You can purchase pairs of colorful thumbsticks to replace the original joysticks, for example. Alternatively, extended triggers snap directly onto the existing triggers of your controller to add color.
