How to Make PS3 Themes Rotate

You can customize your PlayStation 3's user interface by using themes. Themes change the background, the look of the icons, and the text font. You can go to the PlayStation Store on your console to purchase premium themes or download free ones. Some themes are capable of rotating the background image every time you turn on your PlayStation or exit a game and return to the main menu. These themes will rotate automatically after they've been set up.

  Turn on your PlayStation 3 and click on your username.

  Scroll over to "Settings" by using the joystick on your controller.

  Select "Theme Settings" by pressing "X" on your controller.

  Select "Theme."

  Choose which theme you want to use. Note that only some themes are capable of rotating. The best way to figure out if your theme can rotate is to select it once, make note of the background displayed and then select it again. If a different image is displayed, the theme is capable of rotating.
