How to Hear Yourself Through a Tritton Headset on PS3

Tritton gaming headsets let you listen to in-game audio in full surround sound without bothering those around you. Tritton headsets also let you hear yourself speaking through the microphone, allowing you to monitor your voice level while playing. In order to hear yourself through your PlayStation 3 Tritton headset, you must activate the feature on the headset's audio controller.

  Connect the Tritton headset to your PlayStation 3 system and television according to the instructions that came with your device. Depending on the model you have and whether your headset is wired or wireless, the specific instructions may vary.

  Locate the headset's audio controller. The audio controller is connected to the cable that is connected to the headset itself and contains all of the headset's audio controls. This cable is present regardless of whether you are using a wired or wireless headset. If you are using a wireless headset, this cable will lead to the headset's wireless receiver. If you are using a wired headset, this cable will lead to the television and console.

  Slide the microphone switch to the "On" position. The two positions of the microphone switch are designated by a small microphone symbol (On) and a small microphone symbol that is crossed out (Off).

  Adjust "Voice" volume wheel to the desired level. With the "Voice" volume turned up and the microphone switch in the "On" position, you will be able to hear yourself through the Tritton headset.

PlayStation 3
