Switching PS3 From HD to Standard Without HDMI Cable

The PlayStation 3 supports both standard video and high-definition video, and it is compatible with a number of video output cables that connect to your television or monitor. When switching from a high-definition television to a standard-definition television, you must use the proper cables and configure the PlayStation 3 for proper output settings. If your television does not support an HDMI connection, you can use the supplied AV cable to establish a connection between your PlayStation 3 and television.
