Unplug your PS3 controller from the console and turn it over. Notice the five screws along the sides of the back of the controller.
Remove the five screws using your screwdriver.
Lift the back case of the controller off the front half.
Lift the rectangular battery off the motherboard and set it to the side of the controller.
Remove the single screw in the center of the motherboard that holds it in place.
Remove the board and set it aside. You will now have access to the buttons in the front half of the controller.
Remove any damaged buttons by lifting them out of their housing.
Fit new buttons in the old one's places and replace the motherboard, screw, back housing and screws.
