Getting a Go-Kart on Grand Turismo 5

Originally planned for Gran Turismo 6, go-karts and special go-kart races were added a year early to GT5. They appear as an unlockable car early in the game and may be raced on their own separate track. It does take a little work to unlock them, but that work will grant you much-needed income and experience to be used later in the game.

Instructions

    • 1

      Choose your starting vehicle for the A-Spec beginner racing circuit. Complete these races until your driver has reached Level 1.

    • 2

      Return to the garage after having completed the A-Spec circuit and achieving Level 1. Choose the go-kart.

    • 3

      Change your vehicle from your starting vehicle to the go-kart. Go to "Special Events" and select Gran Turismo Karting Experience. Race your go-kart and earn money and experience.
