How to Burn a Game Onto Your PS3

Some games for the PlayStation 3 console must be installed to the console̵7;s hard drive before they can be played. Burning the data from the disc to the hard drive makes it possible for the game to load faster and it also causes less strain on the disc tray. To burn a game to your PS3, all you need is the game disc. The game disc will still be required to play the game, but most of the data will load from the hard drive.

     Turn on your PS3 and a controller and insert the game disc for the game you want to install to your PS3.

     Open the ̶0;Game̶1; menu on your PS3 console and select ̶0;Options̶1; next to the image of your game.

     Select the ̶0;Install to hard drive̶1; option from the list. The data on the game disc will now be burned to your PS3 hard drive. Once the process completes, select the game from your PS3 hard drive to begin playing it.
