      Connect an Ethernet cable to the back of the Sony PS3. There is an Ethernet port on the back of the PS3 where the cable connects to the console.

      Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a wireless router. Turn the Sony PS3 on.

      Select the "Settings" option on the Sony PS3 menu. Select "Network Settings" from the sub menu.

      Select "Internet Connection Settings" and "Yes" when asked to confirm that your Internet connection is going to be temporarily disconnected.
