How to Communicate With Others Via the PS3

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) allows you to communicate with friends via the Friends tab on the PS3 main menu. To communicate with those on your friends list, a free PlayStation Network (PSN) account is required. Voice chat, text chat and video chat are available, provided you have the necessary peripherals, such as the PlayStation Eye for video chat and a Bluetooth headset for voice chat. The on-screen keyboard or any standard USB keyboard can be used for text chat.
