How to Connect a BlueAnt Bluetooth to My PS3

BlueAnt is a Bluetooth headset manufacturer that creates a variety of Bluetooth headsets, all of which are compatible with the PS3. The primary purpose of Bluetooth on the PS3 is to allow wireless voice communication in games and applications that support voice chat. As with all wireless peripherals, your BlueAnt Bluetooth headset must be paired with the PS3 before it will work. Only one BlueAnt Bluetooth headset can be paired with the PS3 at a time.

Instructions

  Go to the "Settings" icon on the PS3 main menu. Click "Accessory Settings," "Manage Bluetooth Devices," then "Yes" to register a new device.

  Press the "BlueAnt" button on the headset. When the voice prompts for a command, say "Pair Me" to put the headset in paring mode.

  Click "Start Scanning" on the PS3. Click "BlueAnt Bluetooth Headset." The exact name may vary depending on the model of headset you're using. Enter "0000" as the Pass Key and select "OK" to complete the pairing process.

  Go to the "Settings" icon on the PS3 main menu. Click "Accessory Settings," "Audio Device Settings" and "BlueAnt Bluetooth Headset."

  Speak into the headset and press the "X" button to adjust the volume. Click "OK" when you're satisfied with the volume.
