How to Manually Insert SRT Files on a PS3

An SRT file is a file used to add subtitles to movies. One of the most popular formats for digital moves is the .avi format. If you have a .avi movie saved to your PlayStation 3 (PS3) hard drive, you can add .srt subtitle files to it using a program called AVIAddXSubs. The .srt file will be manually inserted into the .avi file effectively combining the two. Once combined, you will be able to play the movie with subtitles enabled.
