How Do I Transfer Game Pkg Files to PS3?

PS3 programs and applications are distributed as PKG files. PKG files can be varying items, such as user-created games, file explorers and increased functionalities for your PS3. You can use a USB drive to transfer PKG games installed onto your computer to your PS3. Once installed onto your PS3, you can find your PKG files in the PS3's main menu.

  • Game PKG file installed onto computer
  • USB drive

      Place your USB drive into your computer's USB port and copy your game PKG file to your USB drive. Remove your USB drive from your computer once the transfer is complete.

      Insert your USB drive into your PS3's USB port.

      Choose "Install Package Files" from your PS3's main menu. Choose the PKG file from your USB drive to install it.

      Press the "O" button on your PS3 controller to navigate back to the main menu to see your game PKG file.
