Instructions
Plug the A/C adapter into the back of the PS3 console. The A/C adapter is on the right side of the back panel.
Connect the PS3 console to your TV using your preferred signal cables. The A/V slot on the back panel supports both composite and component cables. The PS3 console supports full high definition audio and video through the HDMI port at the center of the back panel.
Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the network port on the right side of the back panel. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable into a router or directly into a modem.
Plug the A/C adapter into a wall outlet, power strip or other power source.
Connect the Dualshock 3 analog controller into the PS3 console with the supplied USB cable. Plug the small end of the cable into the top of the controller, and plug the large end into the USB port on the front panel of the console.
Flip the standby power switch on the back of the console to the "On" position. Press the button on the far right side of the front panel to turn on the console.
Press the "Home" button on the controller to synchronize it with the PS3 console.
Use the directional buttons on the PS3 controller to navigate to the Settings section of the Main Menu. Select "Video Settings" to open the video configuration screen. Using the "X" button, select the options that correspond with the cables you used to connect your PS3 to your TV. Press the "Circle" button to return to the Main Menu.
