How to Get a PS3 to Pick Up Vuze

Vuze is a multimedia, file-sharing program for downloading and managing digital media on your computer. The program is compatible with various devices, including smartphones and video game consoles, such as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This compatibility allows you to stream content from your computer directly to your PS3 via your home network. Vuze automatically detects and connects to supported devices as they connect to your network, but you must activate this feature manually.

Instructions

  Turn on your PS3 and log in to your PlayStation Network account. Scroll over to the "PlayStation Network" icon on the main menu. Select the "Sign In" option. Enter your username and password, and click the "Sign In" button.

  Run the Vuze program on your computer. Your computer must be connected to your home network when running Vuze.

  Read through the options on the sidebar on the left side of the Vuze window. Move your cursor over the "Devices" option, and click the "Turn On" button. This will enable device support.

  Allow the PS3 and Vuze to detect each other over the network. A PS3 icon will appear under the "Devices" heading. Drag videos from your Vuze library to this icon -- these videos will be viewable via the PS3.

  Scroll through the various media menus on your PS3, including the Video, Music and Photo menus. The blue Vuze icon will be present in each of the menus.
