How to Delete a Corrupt Package From the PS3 XMB

Removing packages and other data from the PS3 menu (XMB) usually needs to occur when the package or other data is corrupt. The PS3's context menu has an option that will delete whatever you have highlighted on the PS3 menu. Once deleted, you can try to reinstall the package file and see if the "corrupted" problem rectifies itself.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the corrupted package on the PS3 menu that is going to be deleted.

    • 2

Highlight the package icon and press the "Triangle" button. The context menu comes up.

    • 3

Select "Delete" from the context menu. Select "Yes" to verify that you want to delete the package from the PS3 menu.
