How to Get a Jammed Disc Out of a PS3

When playing on your PlayStation 3 (PS3), you may find that your disc has become jammed inside the console and you are unable to remove it when pressing the eject button. If you try to take the console apart, you can end up voiding the warranty or permanently damaging the console and the disc inside. There is a way, however, to remove the disc from the console without taking the PS3 apart.

     Reach around behind the PlayStation 3 and turn the power switch to the "Off" position.

     Place your finger over the "Eject" sensor on the front of the PS3 and turn the power switch to the "On" position. This will engage the fan cycle.

     Press the "Eject" button repeatedly once the fan cycle starts. This will result in the disc being ejected.
