How to Make the Reel Work in Pro Bass Fishing PS3

In "Rapala Pro Bass Fishing," a professional bass-fishing sports game available on the Sony PlayStation 3, you can play with the default dual-shock stick controller or you can use the rod and reel peripheral that comes bundled with the game. To use the rod and reel peripheral, you must first sync the controller to the console and then learn how to control it, because the controls are not quite the same as the regular controller.

  Attach the rod and reel peripheral to your PlayStation 3 console using its USB cable. Turn on both devices.

  Hold the "PS" button for three seconds, allowing the device to sync to the console. Press the "PS" button once more to turn the controller on again.

  Press the trigger button to enter casting mode, and then move the rod forward to cast the pole in-game.

  Press the trigger button slowly when a fish bites. Slowly pressing the button prompts you to reel in the fish, adding it to your collection.

  Rotate the reel to rapidly reel in a fish. This method works better when you have a large, struggling fish.
