How to Mod a PS3 Case

By default, the Sony PlayStation 3 has a black case with a simplistic design. The case features a few curves with the logo imprinted right on the front of the case. For many users, this aesthetic design just isn't pleasing. Luckily, there are several companies that specialize in creating aesthetic modifications for the PS3 system. Some of the mods are as simple as peeling a sticker, while others require you to open your case.

Instructions

  Apply a sticker or decal to your PlayStation 3 case. There are dozens of designs made by several manufacturers, and none of the stickers will require you to open the contents of your PS3 case.

  Install a new outer-shell case for your PS3 if you want to permanently change the look of your PS3. The cases are very similar to stickers, but they create a new shape for the case.

  Install a neon light into the Blu-Ray drive. Lights are visible through many PS3 cases, default as well as custom, and use just slightly more power.
