How to Get 3G on a PS3

PlayStation 3 is a video game console designed by the Sony corporation. Your PlayStation 3 contains native functionality for connecting to a 3G broadband router. Connecting your PlayStation 3 to a router will allow you to access the PlayStation network. The PlayStation network will allow you to surf the Internet, play games online and update your existing games.

Instructions

  1. Wired connection to 3d Router

    • 1

      Connect the Ethernet cable first to your 3G router and then to the back of your PlayStation 3.

      Turn on your PlayStation 3.

      Select "Settings," choose"Network Settings," select "Internet Connection Settings" and press the "X" button.

      Select "Yes" and press the "X" button.

      Select "Easy" and press the "Start" button.

      Select "Perform Internet Connection Test" and allow the test to complete. Your PlayStation 3 is now connected to your 3G network.

      Turn on your PlayStation 3.

      Select "Settings," choose"Network Settings," select "Internet Connection Settings" and press the "X" button.

      Select "Yes" and press the "X" button.

      Select "Easy" and press the "Start" button.

      Select "Wireless" and press the "Start" button.

      Select "Scan" and select your 3G router from the list of available Internet sources.

      Select the "Internet Connection Test" and allow it to finish.
