How to Stream iTunes to PS3

Gaming consoles are growing in the amount of things they can now do. The PS3 can play Blu-ray discs, play MP3 discs and much more. Many people have wanted to stream their iTunes to their PS3 systems, but have been told the task is impossible. This task is actually possible by downloading the PS3 media server onto your computer. PS3's can already play songs from your iPod when plugging it into one of the many USB ports. However, using iTunes on your console is much different.

  Download the PS3 media server onto your computer from the PlayStation website. This will allow for music streaming.

  Locate the media server on your computer by going to "My Computer." Click on your recent downloads folder or search for the server using the search bar located in the upper-right hand of the screen.

  Drag songs into the media server's folder by copy and pasting songs with your mouse or by copying the media server folder into your music folder. This will allow your songs to be associated with the PS3 media server file.

  Search on your PS3 console for the media server by scrolling to the music tab using your console's controller. Click on the "Search for Media Servers" option and click on your folder you created on your computer.
