How to Send a Clan Invite on Your PS3

A clan is a group of players who regularly play on the same team in a video game. Clan members on the PlayStation network add a symbol before their name to show allegiance to their clan. To recruit someone for your clan, you must send that person a message inviting them to your clan. Your message should include your clan's tag, which is the symbol placed in front of a clan member's name, and the rules of conduct for your clan.

  Turn on your PlayStation 3 and select "PlayStation Network."

  Enter your username and password and select "Login."

  Select "Friends" and "Create Message."

  Click "Select[To]" and select the player you wish to invite to your clan.

  Type "You have been invited to [your clan] " under the "Title" section.

  Type a message cordially inviting the potential member to your clan in the "Body" section. The message should include the basic rules for your clan. Include the tag the player will affix to the front of his name to show affiliation with your clan. List any practice or game times when your team meets.
