Cheats for CoD for the PS3

"Call of Duty," also known as "CoD," is a video game series that features different first-person shooting games. "Call of Duty: Black Ops" is a recent installment of the series that is available on the PlayStation 3. In this game, players take control of the main character as various portions during the Cold War are re-enacted. "CoD: Black Ops" can be challenging, so players can use a number of cheat codes for assistance.

CIA Database Computer Codes
- While on the main menu of "Call of Duty: Black Ops" repeatedly press the L2 and R2 buttons to break out of the chair straps. Walk to the computer behind the chair to input a code that will have a specific affect on the game. Type in the code "DOA" to activate the "Dead Ops" arcade game. Use the code "MAIL" to open all of the CIA emails that you will find throughout the game. Enter the code "Alicia" to unlock the virtual therapist software in "Call of Duty: Black Ops." Input the code "CAT" to unlock all of the audio and picture files from the "CoD" game.
Secret Weapon: Thundergun
- To unlock the secret weapon, the Thundergun, for use during the campaign mode, you must complete a specific number of steps. First, reach the "Numbers" level. Once the interrogation is over, look for the six canisters. Throw grenades at the canisters to the rear left and right. Shoot the other canisters until they begin to smoke. Use the action button to grab the tape cassette. Go up the stairs and enter the next room. Defeat all the enemies present. When the refrigerator is moved, use the cassette tape and place it in the tape player. The room will shake and the Thundergun will appear. You will now be able to use it during the campaign levels.
Prestige Level Unlockables
- While playing "CoD" you will notice that your prestige level will increase over time. As your level increases you will gain access to different prizes that you can use during the various modes of play. For example, once you reach the first prestige level you will unlock the sixth custom class slot. Unlocking each custom class slot allows you to further customize your created character. When you reach the third, fifth, seventh and ninth prestige levels, a new custom slot will become available.
Special Maps for Zombie Mode
- "Call of Duty: Black Ops" has a special zombie mode in which the main characters are forced to survive a zombie attack. To play this mode on various stages from the campaign mode, complete the game on any difficulty level. Doing so will unlock additional zombie stages that you can now play.
