How to Move the Guard in Harry Potter for PS3

"Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4," a third-person action game for multiple platforms including the PlayStation 3, chronicles Harry Potter's journey through Hogwarts in Lego form. Despite the world being made out of Legos, Harry has access to his entire list of spells and friends as the game re-creates the story of the first four "Harry Potter" movies. After the wizard duel against Malfoy, during Harry's second year at Hogwarts, he must gain access to Slytherin Hall. However, a guard stands in the way, refusing to budge until Harry solves the Slytherin entrance puzzle.

Instructions

  Follow the Hogwarts ghost to the Slytherin Hall entrance. The ghost leaves behind a trail of transparent Lego studs and always directs you to the next part of the story. When you reach the Slytherin Hall entrance, you'll find a guard standing in front of a gate, denying you entry.

  Press the "Triangle" button on your PS3 controller to select Harry Potter.

  Stand in front of the snake-covered door, located to the right of the guard, and press "Circle." Harry uses his ability to speak to snakes to cause three pieces of a snake statue to fall from the ceiling.

  Press and hold the "Triangle" button to access the spell wheel. Select "Wingardium Leviosa" as your active spell. This spell allows you to lift and move objects.

  Press "Circle" to use Wingardium Leviosa on the bottom of the snake statue. Use the left analog stick to place the bottom of the statue on the podium located to the left of the gate.

  Use Wingardium Leviosa to place the middle of the statue followed by the statue's head onto the podium. The gate to the right of the podium raises, and the guard retreats into Slytherin Hall, abandoning his post.

  Walk through the door to access Slytherin Hall.
