Keep Moving
The action in "Unreal Tournament 3" is fast-paced. Players should keep moving at all times and never stand still. When you are standing still, you are an easier target to hit, especially for those players who are using sniper rifles or larger, one-hit kill weapons. Continue moving at all times to confuse your opponent and gain the upper hand. Jumping while in combat will also help you dodge attacks. The only time you will want to stand still when attacking is if you are using a sniper rifle in which you will need to aim your shot for a one-hit kill.
Know Your Weapons
"Unreal Tournament 3" has a long list of weapons available to cause damage to other players. However, each of these weapons has different advantages and disadvantages. For example, the rocket launcher causes a lot of damage to your opponents and can result in a one-hit kill, but if you are two close to the explosion you can also take damage and even cause your character to die. Each weapon will respond differently when used in various situations so experiment with each to see how well they will work for you. Knowing what weapon your opponent is using will also help you know how to defeat that person when confronted during the game.
Use Vehicles
Many of the stages in "Unreal Tournament 3" are large and may be difficult to traverse without the use of vehicles. Using a vehicle will help you quickly escape danger or return the enemies flag to your base. It's important to know that while you are driving or riding in any type of vehicle you are more vulnerable to enemy attack because you cannot fire back. If you are playing one of the team game modes in "Unreal Tournament 3," have your teammates ride in the vehicle as well so they can protect you as the driver.
Picking Up Items
When you are playing "Unreal Tournament 3," you will find that many times you have to look out for yourself. To make sure you have the advantage over any person in the area, grab each and every item you see. Running over the item to pick it up will give you a new weapon, additional health or some other type of character boost. Picking up the item will also keep your opponent from gaining an advantage over you. Also, remember where each of these items are located and make periodic sweeps of the area to continue picking them up before anyone else can.
