How to Connect MuVo V100 to a PS3

In the same way that your Creative Labs MuVo V100 is recognized by your computer as a mass storage device, the Sony PlayStation 3 game system should also recognize it. This allows you to play content from the Muvo on the PlayStation 3. File formats that can be read by the PlayStation are ATRAC, MP3, AAC, JPEG and MPEG-4. All of these formats can be stored on the MuVo in mass storage, even though the MuVo is an MP3 and WMA player.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn on the PlayStation.

    • 2

Connect the MuVo to the PlayStation, connecting the USB cable between the USB output on the MuVo and one of the external device inputs on the PlayStation. The external device inputs are on the front of the PlayStation below and to the right of the "Sony" logo. There are two jacks.

    • 3

Select the MuVo's icon on the PlayStation's screen and press the "X" button. The icon will likely show up as "USB Device (USB Flash Disk)" or similar, rather than simply "MuVo."

    • 4

The files that are playable will show up on the PlayStation's screen. Choose "Display All" from the options menu to see all of the folders on the MuVo if only a subset shows up.
