How to Hook PS3 to Clearwire

Hook your Playstation 3 up to the Clearwire Internet service to unlock the online gaming potential for your console. Clearwire uses a 4G broadband network to deliver a broadband network from your Clearwire hotspot or home modem. The PS3 features an Ethernet port that allows you to connect to a wired network with standard networking cables. Use the settings of the PS3 to configure the connection once you have made the hook up.

  Turn on the TV and the PS3. The PS3 home menu appears on the screen once the console starts.

  Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the port on the rear panel of the Clearwire modem. Insert the other end into the "Ethernet" port on the rear of the PS3.

  Scroll to the "Settings" option and press "X." Highlight the "Network Settings" option and press "X." Highlight "Easy" in the next prompt and press "X."

  Scroll to the "Wired" option and press "X." Highlight the "Save" option to save the settings and press "X."

  Scroll to the "Test Connection" option and press "X." The "Successful Connection" message appears.
