How Do I Accept a Game Invite on a PlayStation 3?

The PlayStation 3 features a robust, built-in online component allowing gamers to connect with each other through a "friends list." Gamers can send messages, chat or invite each other to play multiplayer games through this friends list. A friend can send you a game invite if he wants you to join him in an online game. You will automatically join him in his online game once you accept his invite. Use the PlayStation 3's main menu to accept a game invite.

     Select "Friends" from the PlayStation 3 main menu.

     Select the friend who sent you the game invite.

     Select "Message List."

     Select the game invite message. This message has the game name as the subject and is the most recent message.

     Select "Join." You are prompted to insert the disc of the game your friend is playing. You will automatically join him in his online game once you insert the disk.
