Internet connections have greatly enhanced the opportunities for gamers to communicate with one another either during game play or through built-in chatrooms in a gaming console's main menu interface. The PlayStation 3 (PS3) features a wide array of extra accessories to make communication easy, either through keypads for sending text messages, or wth a webcam for face-to-face chatting.   Invest in a wireless Bluetooth headset that can be paired with the PS3 console. Virtually any Bluetooth headset is compatible with the PS3.

  Navigate through the PS3's main menu to the "Settings" option.

  Find "Accessory Settings" under the "Settings" option and select it.

  Select the "Register Bluetooth Device" option then the "Register Headset/Microphone/Headphones" option.

  Select the "Start Scanning" option on your PS3. It will begin looking for a Bluetooth device nearby and automatically connect to it.
