How Do I Buy a Shard of Hardstone on Demon's Soul?

"Demon's Souls" is a role-playing action game released for the PlayStation 3 in 2009. Stones, such as Hardstone, are used to upgrade your weapons and armor. Many of these stones must be found on the bodies of your defeated enemies. However, there are a few merchants who sell you stones in exchange for the souls you collect each time an enemy is vanquished. Shards of Hardstone can be purchased from the Filthy Man vendor.

     Press "X" in front of the second large stone in the Nexus to be taken to the Stonefang Tunnel.

     Walk up the stairs to your left. The Filthy Man will be at the top of the stairs, in a run-down shop.

     Press "X" while standing in front of the Filthy Man.

     Select "Buy Item."

   • 5

     Select the "Ores" tab.

   • 6

     Select "Shard of Hardstone" to purchase one. Each one costs 500 souls.
