How to Hook Up a PlayStation 3 to a Magnavox & AT&T

Magnavox Television Set

  Examine the composite audio and video cables that came bundled with your PS3. One end contains three plugs of three different colors -- red, yellow and white. The other end is rectangular.

  Plug the rectangular shaped end of the cable into the "MULTI AV" input on the back of your PlayStation 3.

  Plug the three colored plugs into the inputs of the same colors on the back of your Magnavox television set. The PlayStation 3 can now send audio and video information to the Magnavox television thanks to the audio and video cables.

AT&T Internet

  Turn on the PS3.

  Open the "Internet Connection Settings" menu option on the console. This option is located in the "Settings" menu under the "Network Settings" item.

  Select "Easy." This indicates that you are connecting your PlayStation 3 to a standard network. Select "Wireless."

  Choose "Scan." Locate the name for your AT&T connection. Make a note of the value listed in the "Security" column. Keep this in mind for future steps. Select the name of your AT&T connection.

  Specify the type of security that is on your AT&T connection. This security type was listed on screen during "Step 4." Type the AT&T connection's password and select "Save." Your PlayStation 3 is now capable of using the AT&T connection to get onto the Internet.
