How to Change Your Character on Modern Warfare 4

The online mode of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" allows you to customize nearly every aspect of your on-screen character. You can give the character face paint, decide what weapons he uses, give him extra equipment like extended magazines or select from a series of perks. You'll input all of these decisions into the game's "Create a Class" menu.

  Select "Multiplayer" from the "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" main menu. Select "PlayStation Network." Class and character customization for the game is only available in the online mode.

  Play through games and kill as many people as possible with the default character system until you reach Level 4. You cannot customize and change your character until you reach the rank of Lance Corporal. When you rank at Level 4 you will receive a message after a match has ended stating that you have been promoted to Lance Corporal.

  Select "Create a Class" from the menu.

  Make any necessary changes to your character using the menu system on the screen. If you want to change the weapon your character is carrying, for example, select "Primary Weapon." Choose a category of weapon--pistols, launchers, light machines guns, etc.--and select the weapon you want to use. You can perform the same tasks to change your character's perks and the equipment he is carrying--such as Claymore mines or grenades. Your changes are automatically saved and will be in use in your next multiplayer game.
