How to Operate the Forklift in Grand Theft Auto IV

Throughout your travels in Liberty City in "Grand Theft Auto IV," you will occasionally come across a forklift. This forklift is often parked outside warehouses and at the airport in the game. You can drive the forklift around the city in the same way you can drive a normal vehicle, but you cannot lift things with it; you can only drive it.

Instructions

  Push the directional stick on your controller to move your on-screen character next to the forklift.

  Press the "Triangle" button (for the PS3) or the "Y" button (for the Xbox 360) to get into the forklift.

  Press the "R2" button (for the PS3) or the right trigger button (for the Xbox 360) to move forward in the forklift. Push the directional stick on the controller to change the direction of the forklift as it is moving. For example, if you want to turn to the left, move the directional stick to the left.

  Press the "X" button (on the PS3) or the "A" button (for the Xbox 360) to slow down and brake with the forklift. If you continue to hold this button down, the forklift will begin to go in reverse after it has stopped.
